Bird's eye view

The sudden turn of weather in the late afternoon posed a question mark as to whether our pre-booked Singapore Flyer Flight was going to be disrupted by the rain or will we get to enjoy the sunshine after the rain...... hehehhe...

Luckily for us, the rain stopped and we managed to get a clear view on our first flight on the Singapore Flyer. I originally booked the flight as part of celebrating zx's birthday... and I'm pretty glad that i did since it was our first time riding the Singapore Flyer. Our scheduled timeslot was 7pm but as we reached there around half hour earlier as suggested in our tickets and there was not much queue.... we managed to get on the Flyer approximately 15 mins earlier than scheduled.

Wonder if it's the weather or the timing, there weren't too much crowd and we were kinda glad that we got that timing... the sun wasn't too shiny and there wasn't any rain... however due to the previous downpour, there were rain drops on capsules... therefore, it kinda affected the pictures taken.

This is one of the few pics taken with main focus of the CBD office buildings and the construction of IR in the foreground.....

This is the east side of Singapore.... it may not show well in this pic... but in real life.. we could see really far.... hehehhe

A note aside, I'm a person who has great fear of heights.... i mean i really do feel insecure when standing at high places.... for those who had been with me at the tree top walk at MacRitchie Reservoir or the Luge at Sentosa..... Despite the height when at the tip of the wheel (163m above sea level), I felt ok and wasn't too terrified.... so i guess i could recommend those who are also scared of heights to try Singapore Flyer for a paranomic view of the whole Singapore.... of course i do think that i'll probably go back for the ride a second time when the IR is completed..... heheh... to compare the view...

There are also a couple of interesting restaurants and shops located at the Singapore Flyer 'complex' like the Popeyes - Chicken and biscuits which serves fastfood set meals with tvs showing Popeyes cartoon... Here's a pic of the restaurant from the outside after we've finished our dinner.... The mash potato gravy served in the set i ordered tasted quite nice and different from the normal ones we've tasted at the Colonel's....

Last of all, a night shot of the wheel before we finally leave....

Work again

For the last week, I had been attending the pre-admission course so that i can get CPA Singapore.... and the final test was conducted on friday. 1 and 1/2 hours test for 125 questions.... i wonder if i can pass since the requirement was to obtain a pass in each module... hehz.. I really hate to take a replacement test again..... hahhah... my results will come via post in 6 - 8 weeks... will talk about my results when i get them.... hahahah

Yesterday, managed to go cycling at East Coast Park and get some sun light.... though the weather was kinda hot, it was still a good time for cycling... feeling the wind in my face and enjoying the music on my zen stone plus... heheh... Haven't relax in a long time lez.. but next week, it;s back to work again....hehz.. getting very sianz...

Tired

疲れた..... that's all I want to say.....

Work has been taking up quite a lot of my time... Feel like i should go for a break/change... though to others, I maybe quite lucky with less stress and problems...cos i don't hold as heavy a portfolio like some others.... I still want to move on and try something different.... though I may have boldly answered during my 1st interview i would say that i would be working at the same firm with maybe time to manage a side business 10 years down the road.... hahahha..... Kinda hard to achieve that i think....

Anyways... reaching the end of my elementary 1 lesson for japanese at Bunka Lang.... next wondering if i should take elementary 2 or should i try to take the placement test and skip the next level... hehz....

1st day of a new year!

This is the first entry of the year... yesterday was 31 December 2007 and as usual, me and zx went on our own to spend the last night of the year together.... Despite the half day declared by the Company, i was still in office at around 4 plus before i decided to carry back my laptop home. After the quick shower and change of clothes, I met up with zx and decided to have our dinner at Dohby Ghaut....

By the time we got there to have our dinner, it was already 8 pm plus... and when we finally finished dinner. It was already 8.30pm and there was not too many stores open for us to shop around. Anyways, we did not really have any intention to shop around. We just wanted to hang around and chill till after midnight.

Our final destination before we went home was at the coffee bean at Plaza by the Park. While we were chilling at coffee bean, we saw lots of people strolling by heading towards padang or the merlion park where they could get a good location to view the fireworks when the clock strikes 12. In the end, we merely caught a glimpse of the fireworks which weren't part of our itinerary for the night as the previous year we already had a pretty memorable incident when we went to watch the fireworks at the merlion park.

This year, we took NR8 home and the journey was pretty held up by the traffic along clarke quay where there were plenty of party-goers strolling around the roadside waiting to get a cab to go home or head on to their next party destination. While I was on the bus with zx, i thought that i was having a good time listening to music on my mp3, looking at the sights around (at the people - their actions, dressing) and also humming to the tunes... hahahah... i thought that i may have been slightly noisy... hahaha... though zx mentioned that i wasn't....

Though the new year eve hadn't been too exciting, but i still think it's ok.... maybe cause i'm a boring person who kinda enjoys slightly less noise and peaceful ambience... but as i'm blogging first entry... my nose is also quite runny.... As we have ushered in the new year, next huge event coming up would be the Lunar new year due in 5 weeks time... which is gonna be real quick.... I still have to shop around for new year clothes and all... and also time to plan the activities on Lunar New Year holidays... my parents have already booked their holidays in Genting Highland where they would try out their new year luck at the Casino... hahahhaha.....

Probably... i'll try watching a midnight movie show for the first time... heheheh.... kinda sad to say that i haven't watch any midnight show before given my present age.... hahahha....

Haven't made my new year resolution and i still wonder what was my previous resolution... hahahah... but i just hope that i can get a switch in working environment and a better one... where there's less stress... hahhaha.... Next week, i'll start on my jap lessons at Bunka... Can't wait for them to start.... Although this is not my first time learning japanese... but i'm still kinda excited and wonder what to expect.... = )

Hope that i'll have a great year ahead and also to my friends and ppl reading my blog now... hehheheh...

Quick update... X'mas is here again....

This is the 2nd post in the december and it appears to be the final update for the month.

The most recent event was the department's X'mas dinner. The dinner was held at a restaurant somewhere off tanjong pagar, the food was kinda salty and some bland but overall still edible. The atmosphere was pretty interesting and there were a couple of interesting games... but because there were quite a lot of gas, the games played was slightly becoming to be a bit boring... but nevertheless it was still a pretty fun X'mas dinner. One thing to say was that it was the first time that i stayed at the department's X'mas dinner till the end after most of the crowd had left.

Next event was the shopping trip that i had with zx on saturday, the aim of the shopping though was to shop for x'mas gifts. In the end, i bought a pair of shoes, an anime magazine and received a pair of pants from zx as my birthday present. hahhaha... As for the anime magazine, this time round, i bought the Newtype Romance magazine. There was also a free gift from the magazine which is a plastic book cover with kyou kara maou's picture.... it's kinda small and reminded me of a passport holder..... The shoes that i bought was the pair that i had wanted to buy like a few weeks/month ago cos i like the design but had no shoe size for me then. Since i saw it again at BHG, i decided to buy it... hahahah....

Next few events that happened were the farewell parties of the few colleagues that had left, and there's a few more to come in the coming year as well. hehz... it seems that i'm still only one left in my clique that haven't tendered in and thus unable to fulfill the KPI of the group... hahhaha... Nevertheless, me still trying to find a job before i tender. hahahha... although i'll need to go through 1 peak before i go i guess. hehheh.....

Well, as today's x'mas eve, will be going out with zx in the evening... but wonder what kind of x'mas sights or x'mas mood will be felt... hehhhe...

New anime magazine

Today, while me and zx were at Liang Court to visit Audio House and also Kinokuniya, i've decided to buy a japanese magazine called Prince Animage' at Kino. See pic below:
Basically this magazine is about Anime princes.... hahhha... and it's full of anime bishies pictures. It was my first time purchase of the magazine. Although i could understand from the front cover that there's gonna be a list of animes that's going to be introduced in the magazine... i din really know that the whole book was essentially a pictures with loads of pictures that could be scanned in for use as wallpaper... hahahha... it's quite a find... and this issue it seems, there's a freebie (shitajiki for La Corda d Oro). But a problem that i haven't been able to resolve is the issue no of this magazine that i bought... hahahah.... can't seem to be able to decipher which mth's issue is this magazine... but nevertheless... it's an interesting buy.... i'll try to find some time to scan in those nice pics...
Actually at the magazine area, there's another magazine that caught my eye i.e. Phash. The magazine is supposedly an anime magazine for the girls and ladies... and from the covers of the verious magazine issues... it seems that the magazine is introducing animes that caters for girls and ladies... technically i think would be animes that are filled with bishies or be romantic dramas that have plots that attract the ladies.. hahah.... Will try to buy 1 copy next time and see what the magazine is about... and if there are nice animes... probably will introduce them on my blog too... heheheh...

Finally... jap lessons

This saturday... finally made a trip with zx to take a look at various japanese schools located in Orchard area namely ikoma and bunka.... Though i haven't attended either of the schools... but have friends that have attended this two schools... so i have a bit of understanding of how the school does their teaching... in the end, i've signed up for the lesson at bunka... though i've studied japanese for 2 semesters in NTU, i've decided to start at elementary 1 level at bunka... the school teaches all 6 forms of word conjugation in elementary 1... thus i've decided to start picking up my japanese from there... though i haven't been actively using and studying japanese these 2 years... but think i'll be able to pick up soon.... but lesson will only start next year in jan... so hopefully by end of next year i'll be able to take my jlpt lesson and pass them safely... heheh heheh...

At the same time today, me and zx went to the singtel shop near my place to get zx's new phone. After much consideration, zx decided to get sony ericsson's w910i in havana bronze, the one promoted by wang lee hom at the moment and changed his current phone plan to the mio plan. Currently the phone's still at my place charging up... hahhha...

10 years

This thursday, in addition to being Deepavali - the festival of lights for Hindu Singaporeans, it is also special day for me and zx as it's our 10th year anniversary.... The previous nite, we already had a good feast at New york new york.. stuffing ourselves with calamari as appetisers, sphagetti and pizza, and not to forget an ice cream mudpie... hahhaha...

I'm still quite stuffed and not to mention on thursday, while on the bag hunt for zx, we had a late lunch at Beach road at around 2... had a bit of long john at 5 and took away 2 KFC cheesy melts for dinner at around 8 plus.... it's again a stomach fulfilling day.... hahahha.. Another surprise i had from zx was that he bought me the fossil watch i had been looking at for maybe the past 2 months... hahah...

here's a pic of it..:

Nice watch design eh?... hehehehe

But me haven't been a nice gf... i din get zx any gift yet.... hehz.... well... i'll make it up to him.... heheeheh...

It's really come a long way... for me and zx to have been together for 10 years already.... it's pretty amazing and our relationship hadn't been all too smooth-sailing.. though friends have always expressed their admiration for our long-lasting relationship... it really takes a lot of effort to maintain... be it tolerating each other's faults and bad habits or having a good time together...

I guess... sometimes it's not always a must to have romantic settings but rather the company and care that one shows whenever the other is in need of care or attention... heheheh Although i do believe that it's always to be in sync with your loved ones, where both persons are pursuing the same philosophy and ideologies in life... it's always easier to communicate thoughts and to seek understanding from each other... probably there'll be less conflicts.... less arguements is always better... hahah.. cause i do believe that whenever we argue... we tend to say those things that we would usually not say and they all end up pretty hurting to the other parties... so no quarrels but more heart to heart talk is better....

While it's quite impossible not to have disagreements... it's always the manner of resolving these disagreements that would either make or break the relationship... so i would advise anyone that is in a relationship to resolve their disagreements in the best way that they can resolve where they can reach a common understanding of what are the differences of expectations by each other....

So, hope everyone else can benefit a bit from my advice... heheeh

Quick catch up

Another quick catch up on the events in my life so far....

Last week, I attended zx's friend's birthday bbq party at Labrador park. Cos i only knew zx's friend and zx's friends who knew here... i was kind of out of place... not knowing anyone else... so i was pretty quiet. Because it was held at Labrador park, me and zx had to lobang his friend's car to go in. Frankly, if i had to walk out from the park at night... it would have been quite scary... hahahah......

Anyway, though the park may have been quite remote to those who don't drive... there are still quite a few people having bbq in the park, strolling by the seaside with their family... quite a nice relaxing atmosphere.....

And guess what, yesterday i just heard from zx that this friend is going to get married next year... wow... really fast... cos the couple had only got together for abt half a year despite knowing each other for a longer time.... hehehhe....

Friday night was the night where i finally attended jc friends' gathering... i had previously missed the one before due to work committment i think.... seriously i have a bad memory.... and this time round, other than gathering to get-together, we also celebrated Nana's birthday... heheheh.. though it was belated.... Again, it's an update of each other's status and happenings around and to them.... Glad to hear that Nana is seeing someone... and that yun and val have got their tix to watch Jay Chou in concert in Singapore.. and that the ticket sales had been really good... ~80% sold at the priority sale... hahhaha....

This week, zx also confirmed his new job which he will start on 5 Nov.. 2nd week from now.... and since his job is confirmed... we can finally start to plan for the japanese lessons that i've been talking about since i graduated........ since he only has a 5-day work week.... now that everything is in place.... i'm starting to have lots of thinking... about my job/career and where i should start thinking of where to go.....

Xuan has mentioned that she had read somewhere that the next 2 years will be a tight period for employers.. i.e. the job demand is higher than the labour supply.. and so the conclusion would be... for the next 2 years..it's going to be a job-hopping year i think... turnover would be high or higher than usual for the companies.... And so, at this point, i'm feeling sian of what i'm doing and precisely i feel sian and there's a huge premonition of the amount of shit coming... i'm thinking whether i should try to get another job... but when and what... i'm still confused..... hehz....

update again....

Just a quick update on my recent day to day operations...

Let's start with the most recent news.

Today had been a shopping for gift day where me and zx had to search for a birthday gift for his university friend. His friend had invited us to a birthday bbq to be held on next saturday and at Labrador park. Since we couldn't attend the bbq without bringing anything, we had to get her a gift. As zx isn't exactly very close friend with her, we had some trouble thinking of what to get for her... so in the end, we decided to get her a pair of earrings... We had tried many places to get a pair of nice earrings that is not too cheap or too expensive to present as a gift... At the end of the day, after wondering from Orchard to Bugis, we finally got the gift...hahhah... As it's Hari Raya, there was sale at the department store. At the same time when we got the gift for the friend, i also managed to get myself a new ring..hahaha....

During the training on thurs and friday, i heard from xb that he got a girlfriend whom he was going out for about 2 months le... what a shock! hahahah... afterall, for what i know, he hadn't made many moves to court the girl whom he appreciated during university days...hahha.... but nevertheless, it's good news.... just had a brief description that his girlfriend was a colleague from another unit... but since we did not have much time during training to talk... all the usual interview questions whenever a new couple was formed had to be withheld to the next gathering we will plan to have... hahaha.... wonder how long we'll take to arrange the gathering...hehehe...

Work wise... it's been the same.. and on another note, two of my colleagues had officially left the firm. And next week, there'll be another departure... hehz.....

Well, will update again soon... Back to work... hehz

Relaxing Saturday

This whole week had been a hot week... the weather was scorching hot and today it was no exception.... me and zx had decided to go cycling at east coast and also possibly get a birthday present for zx's sister at the nearby Parkway Parade.

We first started off having lunch at the Burger King at East coast before we decided to rent our bicycles... the bicycles at the bicycle shop that we rented from appeared to have been upgraded with new bikes... though it was the weekend, but we have noted that usually saturday afternoons, there is generally less crowd and more space to cycle freely and not having too many people or cyclists around... a good timing for cycling amateurs to try out their bikes.... hehhehe....

After the hot and sweaty cycling trip under the sun for 2 hours, we proceeded to Parkway Parade to look for a potential present.... one of the few presents in consideration was to get zx's sister a wallet or a bag.... in the end, we settled on a bag from united colors of benetton... a bag which i thot was quite ok in design be it for work or shopping... the bag is black in colour and the aunty had nicely helped to wrapped the present up.... the bag was bought at 20% discount since the department store was having a sale in celebration for the coming hari raya puasa....

While shopping for the present, i also kept a look-out for the shoes that i wanted to get... 1 pair of covered shoes for work and another pair for friday or casual events.... in the end, i managed to get the last pair for the design i wanted.... i've been telling zx and he had witnessed my suayness in my shopping trips for shoes..... i had either been not able to get the size of the shoe design that i wanted or the pair was the last pair on display pair which i rarely would want... but this time round, the last pair seemed to be in rather good condition and since it's been quite a while since i found a not so bad design shoe... i bought them....

New hair colour

Today, I'm on leave (just a short 2-day leave). In the morning after waking up and doing some simple chores, I finally went to the salon near my house to get my hair trimmed and also highlighted.... hahahah... the hair colour i chose was copper gold... think it turned out alright.... hahahha... probably see what kind of reactions/comments my colleagues will have for me.... Tonight, I also met zx who commented that my new hair colour was not bad... hehhehe...

Another thing noted today was that my dvds that i've ordered online was shipped today... and so i'll expect their arrivals in weeks to come... yeah...... can't wait to get it soon.... And on another note, the pre-order for Kinki Kid's new alblum which contains dvd of their 10th year anniversary concert is out of stock... which i almost intended to order cos of the footage of the 10th year anniversary concert... hehz... so there's no chance... unless there's new stock for it... but again... don't think it'll be cheap... hahahha...

Oh yar.. and i was just wondering when my youngest brother will come back from his military training in taiwan... hope he manages to get some gashapons for me.. .hahahahh...

New craze online

Been invited by a fellow colleague to join Facebook.. a new social utility with many interactive applications that enable friends to have a more enjoyable time online... hahahha.... I've sent invitations to a couple of friends and hope that they'll respond...

Have tried out playing the applications... it seems quite fun... think i especially like the scissors, paper, stone application where i get to challenge and be challenged by friends.... almost like we're face to face playing the childhood game.... it's pretty fun... though the replies may not be always spontaneous... but it's still kinda fun.... So, anyone who have received my invites... do come and join the network... hhahhahah

First online purchase

I recently made my mind and had my first online purchase.... I had been looking around in the usual music shops e.g. HMV, Sembawang and Music junction for the concert vcds/dvds for a few of my favourtie japanese artistes such as Kinki kids and w-inds.

But after looking around for sometime, i couldn't find the recent tours for Ageha and Thanks... so i decided to get these online... Though my brother was going to Taiwan for NS training... he couldn't buy back any cds/dvds... so couldn't really get him to help me look and buy.... that's why i decided to get them online.... i knew that it wouldn't be cheap, afterall the dvds are direct imports from Japan... plus the shipping charges... dun think i should reveal the total amounts i paid... I told zx about and apparently his reponse was why would i spend so much money on somethings that are not entirely useful....

And because of this online purchase, i've been to the post office to make my 1st foreign money order... although i have a credit card, i didn't really want to utilise it.... hahhahaha... and i wanted to try something different.... it was quite an experience for me... though it will take longer and i anticipate that i will receive my purchase at least 3 weeks later... but i thought it's pretty ok.... anyways, now just waiting to get my goods....

Below are the pics of the dvds that i'm waiting to get:

Going peers??

Recently have heard through the grapevine in office that some colleagues have tendered in their resignations... and there has been a few deliberations on who the colleagues are... as the resignation had been quite secretive and that so far no one else had openly expressed their intention to leave....

This has been stirring up commotion amongst my peers.... We all understand that it is not really easy to continue to work in this environment and that it is one of the most high turnover jobs in the work industry, i think..... But anyways, close friends have been saying that currently the job market has been good and that it's a good chance to get a good job without getting much pay cut.. I think it's not wrong to keep a look-out for better jobs out there.... but it's a matter of whether i can meet with a job that i would like to do.... Seriously, i have been thinking of leaving my job... but as i still dont' have a specific direction to go into... it's even harder to focus on job finding... hahahha....

This week had been a busy week where i had to do 2 work shifts, in the day being my current plotted engagement and at night to clear my previous engagement.... hehz... and i din manage to catch any of the shows that i wanted to watch e.g. Top model and Built for disaster.....

Hehz... just hope that next week will be a better week ne.....

Redang

So much happened before i can report on my redang trip.... Here i go rambling on my first trip to Pulau Redang.

It all started from the coach ride beginning at Golden Mile Complex at 10.30pm... it was the beginning of a long road trip to reach Pulau Redang. We're staying at Laguna Redang which is not a bad resort... with quite a lot of facilities and maybe slightly pricier than other resorts...but still cheaper than Berjaya i think.... There is travelling season to get to Redang where the waters are not so choppy and the resorts are in operation: the no-go season is from i think October till March....

Anyway, Pulau Redang is made famous i think by the Chinese Movie by Richie Yen and Sammi Cheng. And at the resort, there was a dedicated channel that airs the movie 24/7 non-stop.... Me and ZX were pretty amazed that at our 2 nights stay that we managed to catch the ending of the show 7 times.... hahhaha... talk about repeats.

Here's a pic of the famous shop that the movie was shot in:

The shop is now turned into the only convenience store selling snacks, drinks and also souvenirs for visitors to buy home.

The scenery and the surroundings are definitely very beautiful.

Here's a pic of the beach in front of the Laguna resort - the resort we stayed at:

Ain't the water clear and blue!!! Can't find it here in SG.... hahhaha...

Here's another pic of the waters!

After travelling on the coach from 10.30pm to next day morn's 9am, we finally reach the jetty where we had to transfer to a ferry to make our way to the resort/ Pulau Redang which takes about 45mins.

On Redang island, there are quite a number of resorts situated in various but mainly on the outskirts near to the beach area. Snorkeling and diving are one of activities that all visitors should try out. Me and ZX did one snorkeling trip at the marine park where there are lots of fish and also corals... It was pretty sad that i did have any equipment with me that i can bring my digital camera into the waters to take pictures of the marine life. As we all had to wear life jackets and the waters are not so deep, even those who don't know how to swim can also enjoy snorkeling... Everyday, there are 2 sessions of snorkeling trip: 1 beginning at 9am and the other beginning at 2pm. The afternoon session is snorkeling in the open sea whilst the one in the morning is a trip to the marine park. But before we go to the marine park, we need to pay 5 ringgit for the marine park conservation fee.

Here's the side view of the front of the resort where i stayed:

The resort provides buffet - style meals from breakfast to dinner. And on alternate nights, bbq food eg bbqed fishes, chicken and etc is served. And i think the food served is actually not bad. One cute thing i noted is that during lunch and dinner time, seats will be allocated to the guests so that everyone gets a seat and do not have to worry about needing to chop seats and stuff.... the staff there will help to clear the dishes away just like those buffet restaurants in SG..... Fish is a big attraction so they are always one of the fastest dishes to run out of supplies.

Here's a pic of the dining area, located on the second floor:

Here's a pic taken from the dinning area of the beach front at evening time:

The weather is pretty good and has nice cool breezes in the evening... There's also live band performances on the beach front entertaining guests who are dining at the bar. The performers were quite talented and belted out songs of various languages from chinese, hokkien, japanese to english songs.

On the beach resort, there are lots of visitors and also lots who wore bikinis for suntanning. I,too, brought my newly bought bikini to Redang so that i can have a good tan... but since i didn't really suntan for long... i did not really get very dark.... but i was kinda nervous when i wore on bikini on the beach and in the swimming pool..... but i guess maybe its because the surrounding guests were mainly wearing bikinis regardless of their figures that i manage to gather my courage to wear my bikini in public... hahhaha...

To conclude, it was an enjoyable place to be at, perfect for relaxation... but maybe 2 nights stay is slightly short and 3 nights may have been a better choice... Probably, in future, may go there again with ZX for another trip at Redang. But the only thing that's not so attractive maybe the long bus journey.... hahahha

I'm sick

In a long time since i've started working... i haven't been sick enough to get mc from the doctor... And today or actually it was yesterday that i had a high fever of 38.4 degree celsius that the doctor gave me 2 days mc....

On top of the usual questions, the doctor also asked if i had any joints pain and stuff, since there were a few cases of dengue fever near my place.... but anyways, usually when i get sick, zx would scold me for not taking good care of myself.

But this time round, i din get any scolding... possibly cos it's really been a while since i got sick. This time round, it is also an opportunity to renew the antibodies in my body...

While i msged az that i was sick and would be on mc for today and tml, az told me that she's also sick and may not turn up for work..so it came to me that probably it's the curse of the job that we've been working on... hahhaha.... but luckily we haven't started any fieldwork.... Why do we think it may be the curse of the job? last year while working on the job, almost everyone got sick for a few days.....

Well, think my fever's almost ok almost i took my medicine and drowsily went to sleep.... Well, hope that once in a while that i'll get sick to build up anitibodies not that i like to fall sick... hahhaha...

New baby!!!

Quoting from ZX, my new baby is born yesterday after much delibration and comparison.. and not to mention the amount of braincells killed and aching legs from walking to and fro.. Also the lack of drinking enough water....

I've finally replaced my old fujitsu laptop with this new one that i got yesterday at Comex 2007. It's LG R405-SP22A3. See the pic below:

It's suppose to be a performance notebook with almost all up-to-date specs and the freebies that i got included the office 2007 home and student edition with 3 licensees... which i thot was quite critical since most of the laptops only came with 60 day office trial.... Got the laptop at around $2.2k including GST.... Though my inital plan was to get a smaller laptop but apparently there weren't many smaller sized laptops that had the specs and fall within my budget... hahah... the smaller they are and more specs, the more expensive they were....

But as usual, there were tons and tons of people visiting the Comex exhibition and not to forget the buyers out there searching for their bargain purchase...... Hope many found good deals... For me, thot this time round i had to take chances with a tinge of risk.... hahha... my final decision was to be made between LG and the Toshiba M600....which were 2 brands which i had never used before and of cos friends have also not used the brands before. Nevertheless, though in the end i decided on the pricier one... but since it had better specs and also the office with 3 licenses.. i thot it was an ok buy... so for now... it's the time for me to try out the laptop and ascertain whether it was actually a good buy... hehheheheh...

NOw that i have my baby back... i can be updating my blog more often with pictures....heheh!
