Bird's eye view

The sudden turn of weather in the late afternoon posed a question mark as to whether our pre-booked Singapore Flyer Flight was going to be disrupted by the rain or will we get to enjoy the sunshine after the rain...... hehehhe...

Luckily for us, the rain stopped and we managed to get a clear view on our first flight on the Singapore Flyer. I originally booked the flight as part of celebrating zx's birthday... and I'm pretty glad that i did since it was our first time riding the Singapore Flyer. Our scheduled timeslot was 7pm but as we reached there around half hour earlier as suggested in our tickets and there was not much queue.... we managed to get on the Flyer approximately 15 mins earlier than scheduled.

Wonder if it's the weather or the timing, there weren't too much crowd and we were kinda glad that we got that timing... the sun wasn't too shiny and there wasn't any rain... however due to the previous downpour, there were rain drops on capsules... therefore, it kinda affected the pictures taken.

This is one of the few pics taken with main focus of the CBD office buildings and the construction of IR in the foreground.....

This is the east side of Singapore.... it may not show well in this pic... but in real life.. we could see really far.... hehehhe

A note aside, I'm a person who has great fear of heights.... i mean i really do feel insecure when standing at high places.... for those who had been with me at the tree top walk at MacRitchie Reservoir or the Luge at Sentosa..... Despite the height when at the tip of the wheel (163m above sea level), I felt ok and wasn't too terrified.... so i guess i could recommend those who are also scared of heights to try Singapore Flyer for a paranomic view of the whole Singapore.... of course i do think that i'll probably go back for the ride a second time when the IR is completed..... heheh... to compare the view...

There are also a couple of interesting restaurants and shops located at the Singapore Flyer 'complex' like the Popeyes - Chicken and biscuits which serves fastfood set meals with tvs showing Popeyes cartoon... Here's a pic of the restaurant from the outside after we've finished our dinner.... The mash potato gravy served in the set i ordered tasted quite nice and different from the normal ones we've tasted at the Colonel's....

Last of all, a night shot of the wheel before we finally leave....
