Back to work - part 2

After the relaxing first week back at work, the second week has past.... it has been a busier week since i was plotted for work for another unit for the first 3 days....... hehz... I didn't really enjoy doing the work for another unit as I do not have any understanding of the entity and I had to help draft accounts in 2 different countries' (M'sia and HK) reporting standards..... hehz..... it's not easy and as i'm performing as another function..... i dun have any to help me.... my direct boss is the manager who is always busy and refers me to ask the clients or to settle myself since he says he's perfoming another function and he cannot review my work... hehz... so it was a sianz three days..... Anyway, I hope that the job will not come back and haunt cos i dun like it....

Anyways, for the next two days... i was busy helping to shift leadsheets for the next big job in the december year ends...... so it was relatively ok... but it was tiring on the hands and the eyes cos have to check the numbers and to shift using the mouses and various keyboard shortcuts.... and maybe insert new columns and change the dates.... but anyway... on friday, it was the department trip to tioman over the weekend... but being AS (as called by GHT)..hahaahha or rather I thinking it as being too troublesome that I didn't want to go to the trip.... hahhaha.... Ok... I know people is going to say that it's a lousy excuse..... but it's true...hahahah.... don't you think it's tiring and troublesome plus u have to work on Mon when you come back in the evening time on Sun after at least 7 hrs of traveling back......geez.... if the trip were part of the long vacation plans... i would have gone....hahahah...

Anyways, next year when my bf graduates... we'll both go on graduation tour ba... but haven't decide on where to go.. but guess we're both ok with touring asia... but then not japan and korea ba since my bf haven't started working yet....hahahha..... well, there's still quite some time before this actually materialise.. so we'll see where we go ba...hehehhe....

Next week will be first 3 days of training again.... yes... at least dun have to work late or go home late.... but need to be early and on time.... hehehh... which i am doing ok.... heheh....

My first week of work after the holidays

My first week at work was rather relaxing since i had trainings for the first 4 days and on friday was the annual community day at the company. Training was ok and beneficial... think i'll be able to perform my job with more understanding... haha... but as to it'll materialize... we shall see ba...hehehe

The more interesting event was the Community Day, this year was held at the Zoo and this year our unit's beneificiary were kids.... and it was 3 of us to a kid.... heheheh... though it seem that our work maybe lightened with the 3 of us... but it was still tiring... servicing our little "emperor"...hahahha... though there were possibility that we had to do the second shift..... in the end, there were enough people to handle the second shift of kids... so we were able to leave the zoo and proceed on to our next event (last minute decided), a KTV session. This was the first time i sang with connie, Manfred, WNS, Audrey.... together with RP and JP...hahaha... Have heard that WNS was able to sing and it does seem so when i heard him sing...hahahh.... but as i had a dinner date with my bf so i left early after singing 2 hrs of songs...hehehe.....

Next was the dinner date with my bf.... as we weren't hungry at first so we went around the amk centre vicinity... our first stop was tenchi comic shop...aim of shopping: to see if there's any dvds for slam dunk cos the current vcd versions seem to be spoiling with some episodes being not playable, next was to see if there's any copy of the character guide for Getbackers and also for Shaman king, and also to check out the price of the large version of the Slam dunk comic book. But in the end, there was no comic books nor dvds.... however, i got the prices for the slam dunk comic that i was looking for but it's gonna cost me $324 to collect the entire collection of 24 volumes @$13.50 each. This is something i need to consider first.... Dinner was later settled at Ramen Ten which both of us have enjoyed spicy ramen... i was enjoying my chicken katsu tom yam ramen..hahhahha my boyfriend was saying how i enjoy spicy and sour stuff...hehheeheh....Next while wondering around, there was a game shop and the games sold there were at a reasonable price.... i saw and i bought my 3rd ds game: Bleach: Souten ni Kakeru Unmei.... it's mainly game play involving during the period where Ichigo and friends goes to Soul Society to rescue Rukia.... hehehe... i bought it at $75 which i thought was reasonable since it was japan import meaning the instructions and words in the game were all in japanese. But since it's an RPG game and i know the story... guess it won't be that difficult how to play the game.... anyway, i think there will be online guides that other players who may contribute to give aid to how to complete the game... heheheh....

Final day of vacation

Hehz.... All good things will end someday and today is the last day of my long break....hehz.... when will i get the break again?? in another year's time mah?

Haiz... pinch me again... still in a vacation mood.... luckily for the first week back to work, i'll have trainings and also the company's community day... which i dun have to do any actual work yet...hehehe...that's a good thing in disguise though.... hahhaha... hmm... a review of the things done so far during my vacation:

1. Been to East Coast Park once for a short tan but in the end the weather didn't permit a tan...

2. Bought my DS lite icy blue together with 2 games: Brain age and Puyo puyo fever which came as a free game bundle with the console,

3. Baked my first cheese cake which was really too sweet hahahah since i followed the recipe which made use of condensed milk and cream cheese....

4. Went for a dip at the safra swimming pool which really was a long time since i've been to the pool....probably nearly to a year or so

5. Met up with my uni jap classmate who is going to go to manchester for her overseas exchange programme...

6. Been back to the uni to look at the carnival which is the usual event during the first semester of the academic year.... but it seems that the carnival this year is not really good and there seems to be fewer stalls than the prior years....

7. Cleaned up my messy room... though it still not yet fully cleaned up yet but it's still cleaner than before ... haahhahahh.... to think i spent almost 5 days cleaning up my room is really.... arrgh... Don't want to think about it......

8. Been to Mei's new place...wow... condo has quite nice facilities ne....hahahha....but the place is slightly far from my place ne...

9. Watched the national day parade at home with bf and family.... Yupz... it's definitly the fireworks that makes it exciting...

10. Had a dinner celebration with my bf for our anniversary at Billy bombers... the servings are really huge...haahahh

11. Oh yah.. i dyed my hair too...hahah... the whole head and not highlights... wonder if anyone paid attention to my hair...hahaha

12. Been to the treetop walk... it was quite a treacherous walk ne.... lots of stones and all.... plus me a bit scared of heights so the tree top walk was kind of scary for me.....

13. Been to the Ikea clearance sale... there are lots of ppl who buy quite a lot of things ne..... and things were considered cheap ne.... also discovered that there are shuttle services provided to certain areas on weekends....

14. Rented and watched a jap drama which i haven't done in some time... hahah the drama starrs YamaPi and Esumi Makiko....

15. Lastly, the last event of the vacation was a cycling trip at Pulau Ubin... which was really torturous to the butt as there were trails which was really rocky and plently of up slopes and downslopes that fully make u exercise ur legs...wonder if my legs are done.... hahahah.. after the trip was a delicious tze char dinner at tampines at one of the coffeeshop which Cinn and John introduce....ehhehe...

After reviewing the events, it seems that my vacation was still not bad...hahhah.. considering that i did not go overseas.... hehehh... but i'm alright and as promised with my bf... we'll go on his graduation trip next year when he graduates....hehehe.....

I finally bought my ds lite on monday.... never thought i would buy my gadget at Funan...hahhaha... I thought generally that stuff sold at those big malls especially malls in the central area would be more expensive.... but it seems that there are exceptions...hahahha..... Anyway, i bought my set bundled with a free game.... but there are very little choices for the games to be bundled together.... hahaha... so i guess it's ok ba... at least i picked a pricier game...hahaha... Anyways.... cos of the new game that ihad, i finally learnt how to play sudoku... though i'm still not good at it... but at least know what's happening...hahahhah....

Well, need to say thanks for the trouble that Mei went through to provide with very detailed directions to her house but we still got a bit lost...hahahah... and also for the tremendous amount of food she prepared for us.... hahhah... the pasta is quite nice... but may need to have more sauce ba and more cheese....hehhehe...

It's a pity that Nana could only stay for a while and after sending Nana to her bus stop, the rest of us had a mini tour around the condo. Guess the "attraction" or the fun at the condo was the playground (rather the mini gym station for the elderly).... hahahah..... Can this be considered childish or does it seem like we're getting older??? hahahah.... Anyway, after the mini tour, we got back to our table set up at mei's place for the mahjong game.. which unexpectedly i turned out to be a winner....hehehhe.... and later on we got bored of the tile games and went on to play the game "A**h*** 大老二"....which was really a demonstration of "the rich getting richer, and the poor gets poorer" with the rules in place.....hahahah....

Anyways, Mei's place is quite cosy i think.. hahah.... considering that it's only her and her parents staying together.... though the location is situated on the northeast line and is nearer to Little India which may not be really convenient to go home or access on Fri and weekend nite times.... heeh... other than that, think the facitilites are not not bad..... ehheheh.... well... it's a bad choice to stay in a condo... but i guess i'll still stick with my ideal HDB home ba...hahahhah.....

Changed my blog skins again....

Thot i should change my blog skin again.....hahhaha... this is the first time that i've used such a format for blog skin.... with the individual links to the entries.. instead of the ususal skin format that i use which is the very open type one... where profile, tag board and the entries are read on the same page... anyway... to continue on the stars theme...so i chose this stars layout which i thot was really pretty and cute... thanks to the contributor...hahahhah.....

Anyway... an update on my days so far.... recently having a bit of problems logging into my other blog...hahhaha... think it should be problem of the messenger mah... it doesn't seem to log into my blog easily nowadays.. so it kinda makes me sianz...hahahha.... Ok.. back to entries on my days spent so far... my bf''s exam are over le.... so finally can go out together le... hahah... the original plan yesterday was to go to east coast to have relaxing time to tan.. but sadly cos the weather was cloudy and it seemed it was going to rain.... so we altered our plans and decided to go with the flow and in the end... we first walked around tampines, took the bus 67 and stopped by sim lim square where my bf bought an ink cartridge, next was to eat the dim sum at the nearby kopitiam before going to funan to walk around... where we checked out the prices of the DS lite which i was enthusiastic about... and finally took the bus back to West mall to buy a strudel before heading back home.... all this done in an afternoon's time...hahhahhahah..... but it was fun taking the ride in 67 which we haven't done before and we noticed quite a few places which we din get to see or know of...hahhahhah.... luckily we took a bus, i wouldn't dare to think if we were to walk around the places.... hahahah.. cos the weather wasn't too good and it was really hot and humid...heheheh...

Next big outing would be the one at Mei's "mini" housewarming session...wait for my entry on that ne....!

Finally Vacation Part 2 but first.....

Ok, this is the first week of my part 2 vacation and as shared before in my entry in my other space... one of the things that i want to achieve during this leave is to clean up my room... yup.... the four walls that i'm living in... with my stuff (including my books, clothes, teddies, accessories and many other things..)) As this week is also the week that my bf is having exam.. so there wun be much activities...so what better time than now to start packing up and clear the stuff in my room.......

The preparations and first day of packing began on monday... but i guess i overestimated myself and underestimated the amount of stuff that i had in my room... so for the first day... i could only manage to pack my cabinets full of clothes and shifted my cds, jap books that comic books from my cupboard, study table to the cabinet... which i am quite happy with...hahhahahah.... but then i still have other parts of my room which i havent cleared which i estimate may take another 1 to 2 days to finish clearing and throwing.... i really have too much things mah?? my mum was telling my bf that i have a lot of stuff... which my bf agreed since my room is kinda always in a mess....hahahahahha

Anyway, for the second day which is today (there wasn't much clearing up ) as i went to ikea to get some things which i needed to organise my stuff before i could continue on my clearing up mission....hahhahaha... anyway... still have 1 or 2 days to go before the completion of mission 1....... heheheh... so pls anticipate the cleaner, less messy room of mine....hahhahahah....

hehehehe.... it's using a slightly larger size crystals compared to the ones used in the book... well... it's a first try at a slightly more complicated design so i decided that using larger crystals would help....hahahaha..... hope i can recreate the same design using the smaller crystals as per recommended in the book... which may be better-looking ba....hahahahah... okie... 久しぶりのNetball training

Well... in anticipation for the coming inter-unit netball games in the company's sports carnival event... today is the first netball training session of the members in our unit and another unit....... it's definitely my first netball training in i think about 4 years ....wahz... so long already... hehehe... i guess the biggest obstacle of the training is the lack of physical stamina...hahahaha... it's definitely missing cos of the lack of exercise..... wonder who would have the strength and ability to actively keep up with exercises during the peak period... not that i'm finding excuses for my lack of exercises....hahhahah... but it;s the truth....hehehehe.... well.. .the training started late and the team was incomplete as many had not turned up mainly due to being overseas....hehehhehe... but nevertheless, we had fun doing the drills and also had 2 short games.... which totally highlighted the lack of stamina...hahhahah... anyway, there'll be another training next week.... hahahahah....

My first pair of handmade earrings....

Yeah.... since the last phone conversation with Wen touching on making of bead jewellery.... this week's thursday finally had the chance to pay a visit to the store that Wen was talking about.... heheheh.... When we first got there, the first thing was to get a suitable guide book for me to start on..... hehehhe... as there were quite a number of books to look through.... so we spent some time to look at the various books on sale... finally after selected my book... we proceeded on to buy the materials.... as this was my first time... i had to get mainly the essential and basic tools... like the long nose plier, cutter... plus the thread, and the basic hooks, chains that would be needed for my bead jewellery making... the most important thing to buy would also be the swarovski crystals.... as there are so many colours and sizes... we took really quite a long time to decide on the amount of crystals to buy and also the colours..... after getting home and wrapping up of the new guide book..... i finally got to work on the beads.... and after 2 hrs of working..... What do your think? good mah? since it was my first attempt at making... the beads on the end of the chains is not exactly straight...hehhehe... cos i din bend it correctly..... heheheh.... but anyways.... i feel proud of myself being able to make it..... hehehhe.... and definitely will try to make for friends..... heheheheh but then i guess will need to get more beads.... hahahah and as time pass and when i get more skilful.. then i'll be able to make nicer and maybe more complicated designs....ahhahaha......

Shopaholic??!

Friends who know me....i dun shop alot for clothes..... i like to shop for CDs...anime merchandise (gashapons, stickers, keychains).... rather than the usual clothes, bags and shoes....hahhah.. i do buy them like most girls...but just not as often and not as excited when i buy my cds and anime stuff... hahahah....

Just on Friday where i managed to go home earlier from work and went to J-8 to shop for a while... and i found that action city was selling bleach's key chain.... though it was selling for $4 a box but it has two figures in accordance to the relevant team...like team 6 - byakuya and renji, team 11 - zaraki and yachiru...... hahah.. and who you will get is total random as it is not indicated on the box...... hehehhe.. in the end i bought a box and i got team 13 - ukitate and shiba....heeheh... now itching to get a few more boxes...hahha..and also asking if my bros want to get them...heheheh...cos i wan others too.... hehhehe

I also bought a new sports bra after so long in jc....hahhah.. been thinking about buying for a while and finally got one on friday...hahaha..... and before that i had bought a new pants at G2000 cos there was a sale and that i wanted to buy a pair of grey pants..cos so far i only have black ones... heheheh... but right now it's being altered cos ur know lar... heheheh... watashi wa chibi desu......

hahahah.... wonder how much more stuff i will get in these coming days....since GSS is on ....hahahh....

X-men : The last stand

The last movie that i've watched with my bf was jet li's huo yuan jia.... hhahah... so it's been quite a few months since we've last watched a movie together and this time it was the long awaited 3rd movie for X-men: The last stand...... Though it was a long-awaited and planned movie trip...but due to work... i was only able to watch a later show with my bf... though it was the first time that we had watched a late show together....hahahah... it was not really a mid-night show.... but rather it was a 9pm show....

We were at Causeway Cathay to watch the show which my bf had bought the movie tix (i think 2 days before) hahahha... talk about kiasu...well...it was preparation in case the movie tix were sold out or there aren't any good seats..... as i haven't been going to the movies lately... i din realise that the cathay cinema was undergoing a renovation...getting a new look..which is not bad except that the pop-corn queue when it gets really long...prevents the others from getting to the cinema theatre....well... maybe if the whole place was done up... there would be more than sufficient space for ppl to move around.... Anyways... the movie was pretty alright...ahahah... though there was a sad moment when prof x died...i nearly cried again...hehz.... and i was being teased by my bf after that.... anyway...it only shows that i'm a nice gal with an empathtic heart....hahahah The only few glitches i guess was the corniness or the shortness of the screen span for Scott, Ironman, shape-shifting Mystique.... whom only appeared in maybe the first 10 mins of the show who disappeared without a trace later..... hehz... anyways... since it's a marvel movie... it's always the good that will triumph though the evil may not always disappear........

Other than those mentioned, the movie was alright...hahah... just hope that wun have another sequel le ba..... hahah... too much already....

Long awaited sunning

Started the day queuing at the bank just to get my interbank giro form filled up - i.e getting my thumbprint at the bank.... before i send it out so that i can officially start to repay my study loan.... okie.... finally can start repaying...been waiting for the letter to come and inform me to start repaying...hehz... but guess it'll take me quite some time...based on my current repayment rate per month...it'll take me abt 4 yrs + .....hehz.... kinda long eh?? but guess that the monthly repayment amt is reasonable for me to not lapse into financial difficulty and i can still save a bit at the same time......heheheh

This saturday...the weather has been kind to me...managed to get a bit of tan from sitting on the break-water at east coast from 2pm to 3.30pm... so it was 1.5 hrs of serious sunning...while chatting with my bf and listening to the songs playing in my mp3 player....looking out at the sea...wondering if it'll rain and whether the dark clouds will float over...hahahhah

Anyways... after sunning...we decided to go town...go to sunshine plaza and took a look at the 可愛いanime merchandise....hahahah... this time i din buy anything cos din see anything in specific that i liked...previously i had bought handphone seals i.e. stickers u see stuck on my handphone... hahaha...for anime Prince of tennis (POT or tennisu no ohjisama as i call it)..... i also got a set of handphone seals for Kyou kara maou which was given to me by my bf....hahah.. okie that anime show i feel may be slightly ackward for guys to watch...cos there's tinges of hints of shonen-ai (boy x boy love)....hahah... but then the characters are bishonens and very funny....hahahahha..... so i still like them.....

Originally wanted to go back home...but decided that maybe we have time to catch a movie...and while walking on the way to the nearest bus-stop just outside the national museum ...we saw the newly re-constructed cathay building...the one which will be another huge movie hang-out place like cineleisure...we realised that the cinemas were in operation and decided to go over and check it out...and maybe get some tix to the newest movie....and boy....was there a huge crowd and movie tickets that are selling out like no one's business....hahahah.... i wonder with the opening of this new mega cinema complex...will it reduce the movie goers crowd at cineleisure, or at ps - gv which is nearest to it? hahhaah..... anyway... because of the rapidly selling out movie tickets....we decided to head back home...hahahah....But it was still an eye-opener....most of the shops in the complex was still not ready...but i guess it'll be another huge hang-out place where all the shops are ready and open......

Jpop - Johnny's? w-inds.? boy band music crazy?

hahhaha.... i know me being a jpop lover is no big news.... but i guess the jpop boy bands music is what i'm really listening to right now...hahaha... wonder if it's their looks or their music?? hahahah... think their music are really pop and suited to my tastes ...plus their cute looks also draws me to look at their pvs, watch their tv shows - eg. Smap x smap, gakkou e ikou, utaban, g no arashi... f generation for w-inds. and a few more...hahahahha....

well... i recently discovered you tube where many uploaded pvs and as well as tv programs not just for jpop but also other chinese, english and etc programs... u could try ur luck and see what ur search results in... u might even find the really really old mtvs that you've seen in ur childhood days or even those that u've never seen before....hahhahaha... but currently it's one of the sources that i have to keep in touch with jpop music which is not too readily available in the sunny island...though we're really connected on the internet and world...but news of the jpop scene do not always come fresh.... i mean u need to have readily available channels to get the most updated news and such....rite.... if any of you are interested, u can try to find those videos at http://www.youtube.com

Decided on the gift for mother's day!

hahah... ok...today's another outing to search for mother's day gift ideas as well as to get my tan... though it wasn't successful for me to get my tan... but at least i managed to finalize on the idea on my mother's day gift..ahahahhah... an idea contributed by my dear bf...hahaha.... though it may be a bit no 诚意 but i think it maybe the more practical gift idea.... hehehhe.... cos i really have no idea what my mum would like and i wouldn't want to get her something that she wouldn't need...... hahaah

oh yar.... today i had a surprise gain ....managed to find the gashapon machine for bleach 2 swings.... hahahah... okie.. though it was probably slightly more expensive than the ususal gashapon machines that i usually go turn...but cos it was a really hard to find collection that the machine had... in the end i made 3 turns, getting 1 Chad, 1 Hitsugaya * the one i wanted ..hahah and also one of the villians, Ichimaru Gin.....which i was totally happy and excited... my bf commented that i looked like a kid when i was turning the gashopon machines... and i guess the 店人whom i exchanged tokens with was probably thinking...what's this girl so excited and happy about? it's just a gashapon machine...hahahhah

Finally a day out to relax

hahah... yupz... today just went to orchard with my bf...did some shopping around.. .supposedly was to look for present for mother's day... but in the end... i bought two tops...hahaha... and none for mother's day.... heheh.... a pretty bad kid ah? well.... i'll definitely try to get something for mum this year since i've already started working....ehhehe..... so shall see tml and the day after if i can get my hands on any suitable gift for mum....

hihi.... after an advice by Wen, thot maybe i can maintain two blog spaces... with this one with more photos haahhah.... okie... so does this mean that the journal entries for the two blogs will be the same? nah... i dun think so...ahhahaha

i will try to write about different ideas/things in the two blog spaces... so dun think the entries will be similar ba... since i'm a forgetful person... think i'll forget about what i wrote for one blog space when i start writing another one...hhahahah.... anyway... i think i should also attempt to brush up on my writing so that i can improve on my documentation skills... hahahh...
what a lousy excuse i have...hehhe... when it's just me having lots to write/or to complain...hahhahh....
